In the spirit of full disclosure which seems to have overtaken us all, my full name is Romanadvoratrelundar, Romana for short. I hail from a world known as Gallifrey; my people are known as the Time Lords.

While I cannot stay here, I am not entirely certain where I should go. [Small pause.] Due to circumstances I am afraid I cannot divulge, going back to my homeworld is not currently an option. It may never be.

I shall have to think about it.

To those who have been my friends in the two years I have made my home here: thank you. I cannot express how much your friendship has meant to me, and continues to mean to me. And I can promise you this: no matter where you choose to go, back to your homes or staying here, I will be able to visit you. My people are able to cross time, space, and dimensions, with the help of technology we have invented. So we needn't loose touch, no matter what else happens.

Oh, sure. Blame the... vehicle? I'm assuming that's what a TARDIS is.

You know... I would act surprised, but once someone tells you they're past the 200 mark it's a touch difficult to be shocked when it turns out to be more than that.

It is a time machine, yes. It also travels through space, if you want to stay in the same time, relatively speaking. The Doctor's TARDIS happens to look like a phone booth on Earth, but that is simply because he refuses to fix the fused circuits.

My people are not immortal, but I suppose we may as well be when compared to the Human life-span.

You always did know how to show someone a good time. Perhaps a little too exciting, in some cases, but always most eye-opening.

By the by, I have said that I would take a friend's dogs; besides that, there is Aven. I'm afraid I don't know quite what happened to K9, but I do hope four canines in the TARDIS won't be a problem.

The last time I saw K9, you had him. But I'm sure that multiple canines won't be a problem. Maybe K9 can meet the canines!

If it controls both time and space when you travel, I assume that makes for conveniently short trips? And... a phone booth? Really? Well, if nothing else, I suppose it'd make decent camouflage as a historical element. Sounds a touch cramped, though.

Hah, it feels like that's the case with most non-human life-spans. Granted, that might be my uniquely human perspective talking.

It can do, but there is that saying about short cuts making long delays. And the Doctor is bound to be distracted by anywhere interesting that we happen to land, even if it is not our true destination.

You would think so, but that is another Time Lord trick--it is bigger on the inside. A whole world has been fitted inside something that looks like it's not got room for more than two people at a time, if they are quite good friends.

Not all; Time Lords are in the minority, as it happens. There are several races whose life-spans are significantly shorter than yours, and a few whose life-spans are quite a bit longer, but the majority fall close to your range.

Yes I remember, and I took care of him faithfully in the many years since you gave him to me. But that means he's back in my time period, and I am not sure where he is precisely.

You look for K9 and I'll look for Adric. He should be with the TARDIS, but I'm not sure how much time has passed back in my timeline since I came to the Sphere.

Would he be the sort that tourist traps are made for? Or is it just the overabundance of truly interesting places a person runs into when covering that much ground?

...Huh. Well, that is a neat little trick. Must make storage a breeze.

Now, that sort of variety much closer to what I would expect amongst a few galaxies of sapient species. I suppose I've just run into the more long-lived sort in Edensphere. Not that I mind, since those I know that are capable of living a while are generally people I like.

A bit of both, really. And it does--but then you get truly odd things, like a whole room devoted to boots. That much space added to our long life spans... I would not be at all surprised if there are a whole set of rooms somewhere in the TARDIS he has completely forgotten about.

Oh yes? I was not aware of anyone with a long lifespan, besides the Doctor and myself.

Is the boot room... intentional? Like, say, a souvenir room that came from visiting a world-of-boots? Or does it just appear?

Well, you hear stories here and there. Then again, considering we were all operating off of morsels of information, I'm not entirely sure how many were truly that long lived or if some just got the wrong impression.
