{Five (33)} &diams Remember me to one who lives there / He once was a true love of mine

That [pause] could not have been merely a dream. I refuse to believe it was--that all those people, and that city, were just a part of something I dreamed up.

My true name--or part of it at least, it seems [pause] somewhat incomplete--is Romana. [Pause, pen taps] I will still answer to 'Fred,' if people feel more comfortable calling me by that name.

I see Juliet is alright. Innovator, are you also [pen taps] well?

-Romana/Fred

[Written a few minutes later, after flipping back through her journal a bit]

Boss. If you come anywhere near me, I may have to hurt you.

I think 'welcome back to the land of the living' may be my new catchphrase for you.

And Romana, huh? At least you managed to get something out of the experience, weird as that is.
live_ringer: (That I have found it.)

Hey, could be worse. At least I'm not threatening to tie you down. [Like some people.]

It'd be a nice change of pace, yeah, but you really can't rely on the Tree for anything.

So, this dream... thing that you had. In the city with the less than hospitable soldiers. What was that like aside from 'not pleasant'?

[Yes, someone's been reading around the entry.]
live_ringer: (From a distance.)

Can't remember if they've talked about Storm so, if they haven't, I'll say it was mentioned at work?

Ha, that doesn't surprise me. Though, I doubt Genius knows the... complex rope-work that Bell's might have in mind.

...Huh. Now that's interesting to know. I'm not sure if it's comforting or worrying that there might be more circumstances like ours out there. Any word on how this 'Gate' functioned?

Sto Oh! The one guy you knew from home? Well, good to know you saw at least one friendly face. And you have the knowledge that he's all right-- [bit of a pause as something occurs to him]

Say. You don't think this Veles place is where people here go when they disappear, do you?

[The bottom line is struck out after 30 seconds.]

If it was a book on that particular sort of knot-work I wouldn't be surprised if he got it on lone from Bell.

Guarded, hm? Sounds like the people in charge are awfully invested in people not figuring out their circumstances.

[And doesn't that feel familiar.]

Hn. Lost the memory of the memory-loss place. Not sure if that's ironic or just fits in with the theme of the place.
live_ringer: (Watching the others struggle through.)

Probably not. But that doesn't make picturing the potential reaction any less funny.

Sounds like a bit of a conspiracy and the natives know more than they're letting on.

Well, he's passed through two such places already, looks like. Maybe he'll keep doing it till he hits on the right one.
