It looked like a normal memory crystal to me when I examined it afterward; although, I was not given any sort of 'punishment' as a result of experiencing it that I noticed. And yes, he rather did... I suggest you be careful with who you tell that memory to, even if you know they are from your past.

[Fred would hate to see him or anyone else killed, or be killed again herself, if Aurora did come back after all this and discovered she had broken her word.
