Hello, I suppose.

I am really not sure what is going on in this 'Edensphere' place; I just arrived yesterday. Sky told me that whatever I write in this journal can be seen by everyone, so I'm trying it out.

Does everyone go through that disgusting goo-cocoon birth process? I don't know anything at all about this place.

An introduction would probably be in order about now--my name is Fred. If anyone has any pointers or advice about this place for me, I would love to talk to you. Actually, I would love to talk to anyone at all.

((The writing is a decent copperplate, not too fancy. For the first few sentences the letters appear slowly, as if Fred is not used to writing in this language, but she soon gets the hang of it and writes more quickly.))

Yes, every person who comes here arrives via the cocoon filled with breathable brown goo and tumbles out of it, nude, onto the stone floor of the Hatchery. I definitely can think of many better ways to come into a place where you are born with your memories stripped from you, including simply not coming here at all, but it is a comfort to know that one is in good company here.

Ahh, I apologize profusely for my verboseness; some of us seem to be afflicted with an affliction that forces us to write with such language. It is only temporary, I hope, and an example of one of the many random acts of weirdness the tree afflicts upon us.

Yes, I just arrived yesterday--I would say it was one of the oddest experiences of my life, but I can't be sure that it was.

But I'm rather glad to see that I'm not the only new person. Everyone else seems to know a great deal about what is going on.

Yeah the cocoon stuff is kinda gross huh? I got some on my feathers and I couldn't get it off for a while!

My name is Apple! Hmm, pointers or advice. Ok! Ah, you should be careful not to fly to the top of the tree! Dumpling says its dangerous. The best time to buy fruit and veggies is mid afternoon because that's when us farm hands deliver the new crops! Don't buy milk from the stall that's furthest away from the elevator and has an orange flag. He's mean to the cows and he smells.
