{Eighteen (46)} &diams There's a yellow brick road/That we follow back home
[Her writing is rushed, a little bigger than she would normally write, in her haste to get the words down on the page.]
What the bloody hell happened while I was away?
[A slight pause, and her next writing is almost calm.]
Precisely how long have I been away?
-Fred
[ooc: I'm assuming 00 was asleep when Fred got home.]

Are you in your house or the Clinic?
no subject
I have no reason to be in the clinic. So I am not there.

Besides, it's too cold to go out.

By the time I get to her place I will be very warmed up.

But I'll be cold. And then you'll be sleeping on the couch tonight.

If you arrive at my home and I see bandages, I will be most displeased, Gai.

In fact, I am coming over now. [Out the door and heading over to your house now]

...Oh.
[Quicklog]
It didn't take her long to walk to Gai and Bell's house. As she approached, she could see that Gai, Bell, and one of their dogs were already on the porch, waiting for her. She frowned a little--but if Bell was there, then Gai must be outside with his blessing. That was probably alright, then.
Now she wished she'd brought Aven with her. Her dog probably would have liked playing with another, but she hadn't even thought of taking him in her haste to leave the house.
She turned her attention to Gai. From here, he didn't look that bad--perhaps he had been correct in thinking that he could walk to her house safely. But knowing Gai, he would say that if he had been grievously injured yesterday.
Fred quirked her lips into a slight smile as she got close enough to talk.] Hello, Gai, Bell. It is good to see you both.
[Quicklog]
When Fred arrived he broke into a beaming smile. With a little struggle he got up. There was still some residual pain which made everything far more slow than it should be, but Gai figured he was out of danger. ...Unless something attacked him on the way to a house.]
Fred! It is good to see you as well! You have been gone a while, and I would like a hug. [That was all the forewarning she got before Gai approached her with open arms. ]
[Quicklog]
[She allowed him to wrap his arms around her, returning the hug a little gingerly. She wasn't sure of the extent of his injuries, and didn't want to chance hurting him by accident.]
[Quicklog]
Fred's appearance was a relief, and Bell stood, still holding Tenzou's leash, letting Gai stand on his own.]
Hey Fred. [He waited for the hug to finish and then gestured to the door.] How about we go inside. It's cold out here.
[Quicklog]
Thank you!
[At Bell's suggestion Gai glanced longingly at the outdoors before nodding and going in. He hadn't liked the fight either, and Gai didn't want to argue again.] Would you like anything to drink, Fred? [He could at least offer that. Probably.]
[Quicklog]
A glass of water would be lovely, if you would be so kind. [She glanced sidelong at Bell as she made her request, rather hoping he would take the hint and get her the water before Gai could charge--or rather, limp--off to get it himself.]
[Quicklog]
Sure. No problem. [Bell didn't even need to take the hint. He was already of the same mindset as Fred, and headed towards the kitchen to get the glass of water for her.] How about you, Gai? [He wandered off into the kitchen, letting them talk for a while on their own. He wasn't exactly social. It was just a relief to have her over and see Fred alive and well.]
