Have you tried questioning the Man-twins' former pet about your shoe problems?

I am not entirely certain he would be up to climbing through my window or picking the lock on the door just to tie my shoelaces together.

Some people will go to great lengths for pranks, I'm sure.

Which would only serve to prove my point. Who goes to such lengths simply to tie shoelaces into a knot? I would have expected the person who did this to do something more [pentaps] elaborate.

Not if Genius is to be believed. It merely forced me to spend ten minutes picking the knot apart, whereas the point of the prank is apparently to get the person whose shoes are tied together to trip.
