Entirely possible, though with so many being 'pranked' at once it grows less likely that there is any person to blame.

Well, there is always Boss; I suppose this would just barely fit his style. But I am not at all sure he knows how to pick a lock, and he would probably fall down if he tried to climb in my window. [Not to mention, he would have probably woken her up if he'd actually tried to come in her room.]
